New name and new design
When the magazine Forum started 30 years ago it was called Forum Närmiljö (approx. Forum ‘neighbourhood’). Not perhaps the world’s most striking commercial title and rightly abbreviated in the 1990s to just ‘Forum’. This in turn was hardly the most unique of names and it is now time for us to change it again, this time to ‘Forum AID’. A stands for Architecture, I for Interiors, and D for Design, the trinity that we cover in every issue.
The new name is both logical and relevant, and accords perfectly with the new lay-out and design. Expanded picture captions, clearer symbols and more illustrations all contribute to making Forum AID more informative and comprehensive than its forerunners. We have moreover expanded the number of articles in each issue while at the same time sticking firmly to our principle of being the best written and illustrated journal in the field.
Welcome to enjoy!

Quotes from Mark Isitt, editor-in-chief and Igor Kazakov, art director
The quarterly magazine Forum is changing its name to Forum AID. A as in architecture, I as in Interior Design and D as in Design. The name change is accompanied by a radical revised design.
"We want to show that Forum, which has existed for 30 years, is now changing tempo. The content of the magazine is broader; there are more photos and meatier picture captions. This editorial office is going in for a 30-year facelift rather than a 30-year crisis",says editor-in-chief Mark Isitt.
Forum AID will continue to concentrate on the very best quality in texts and photos, in a new vitalised layout.
"The aim has been to achieve an international-level layout for the magazine. Our starting point has been to make two-dimensional magazine pages convey the three-dimensional subject matter: architecture, interior design and design," says Igor Kazakov, graphic designer of the design agency Graphic Laundry and art director for Forum AID.
